Rafael Nadal to lead Barcelona Open 2014

Rafael Nadal has been seeded as No. 1 followed by world No. 5 David Ferrer at No. 2 in the 2014 Barcelona Open tournament, being played here on outdoor clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is considered as 62nd edition of men's singles event and part of the ATP World Tour 500 series of the 2014 ATP World Tour.

Rafael Nadal hopes to clinch ninth Barcelona Open crown this week in front of home fans, where he had struggled a bit in Monte Carlo Rolex Masters last week. But he is looking forward to play aggressive tennis to defend Barcelona Open, ahead of the Mutua Madrid Masters and Rome Masters next month. 

Nadal has begun preparations along with his coach Toni Nadal and he is working hard over forehand especially. 

 Rafael Nadal is having most of the chances to clinch Barcelona Open crown, but he will have to face difficult challenge against David Ferrer and Italian Fabio Fognini. Ferrer, who has defeated top seed Nadal in Monte Carlo Masters quarter final last week, he is eyeing to continue similar form against best players on the tour.

Serena Williams to leads WTA Rankings

17-time singles Grand Slam champion Serena Williams has retained top place in Women's singles top place with 4790 points followed by 2014 Australian Open champion Li Na in the WTA Rankings announced earlier this week by WTA Tour. 

32-year-old Serena Williams has been enjoying outing along with close friends in Florida, where she is going to return back to Mutua Madrid Masters next month. Serena Williams will come back to training on clay courts soon as possible and she is considered as hot favorite to clinch victory ahead of the Rome Masters and French Open championship. 

Maria Sharapova has been playing outstanding tennis in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, where she has reached semis after beating World No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska in quarter finals. Russian beauty is having most of the possibilities to clinch Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and she is eyeing to climb to top five in WTA Rankings, before heading to the 2014 French Open Championship.

IPL opener: Kolkata won the match against Mumbai Indians by 41 runs

The Kolkata Knight Riders have showed there clinical performance against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League season with a huge victory by 41 runs in Abu Dhabi .

Knight Riders have set a target of 163 runs in 20 over’s for a loss of five wickets and Mumbai Indians where in a chase of the target and they were restricted at 122 runs for a loss of seven wickets in 20 over’s by Knight .

The experience of Kallis came through with the bat as he stood tall with a cracking knock of 72 from 46 balls, while Manish Pandey shone on his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders with a good knock of 64 from 53 balls.

In spite of Malinga taking four wickets for 23 runs Kolkata managed to set a descent score of 163 for five in 20 over’s.

Black Caps all-rounder Corey Anderson has made a forgettable debut for the Indians, managing just two runs with the bat after going wicketless and bowling three overs for 33.

Facebook Notified to Download Facebook Messenger on Mobile

Facebook users have been growing rapidly and billions of users are connected to Facebook. Most of the users use Facebook on mobile for chatting with their friends and now Facebook starting to notify users that they no longer have the option for iOS and Android to send and receive messages in Facebook. In order to send and receive messages via Facebook in mobile you need to download Facebook Messenger.

According to the dedicated texting app Facebook rolled out in 2011 Facebook has been informing mobile users that they'll no longer be able to text via its core app and they need to download Messenger to text messages.

Facebook’s main apps have always included a full-featured messaging tab. Then a few months ago, users who also had Facebook’s standalone Messenger app installed had the chat tab of their main apps replaced with a hotlink button that would open Messenger. But this was optional. If you wanted to message inside Facebook for iOS or Android, you just didn’t download Messenger. That’s not going to be an option anymore.

According to the Facebook spokeswoman from the last week the company started informing some users and the update will roll out first to Android and iOS users in a handful of European countries.

"Messenger is a much faster and better experience and we've found that people get replies 20% faster on Messenger than on Facebook," the spokeswoman said in an e-mail. "Taking messages out of the Facebook app also lets us focus on making Messenger even better for everyone rather than working on two separate Facebook messaging experiences."

After the launch of the Messenger 3.0 by Facebook in November, in the core Facebook app they have discontinued messaging for the users you have already using Messengers.

Mark Zuckerberg the CEO of Facebook had an explanation for today’s change that Facebook’s PR team just referred.

 “the other thing that we’re doing with Messenger is making it so once you have the standalone Messenger app, we are actually taking messaging out of the main Facebook app. And the reason why we’re doing that is we found that having it as a second-class thing inside the Facebook app makes it so there’s more friction to replying to messages, so we would rather have people be using a more focused experience for that.”

32 years old Roger Federer is going to start his preparation for the upcoming Monte Carlo Masters on clay courts and he is working hard to face the two champion’s world no.1 Rafael Nadal and World No. 2 Novak Djokovic.

Roger Federer is aspire to clinch first ever Monte Carlo Masters which is going to take place in next week and he need to give his best to return back to form. Federer has posted in his Facebook wall a picture and stated that he had great fun visiting the Credit Suisse offices in Zurich earlier this week and it is not so easy to serve in street clothes. On Sunday Federer is going to arrive Monte Carlo and he is on a race to win the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters.

Serena Williams has been leading top place in latest WTA Rankings, meanwhile 2014 Australian Open winner Li Na holds second place and Radwanska at third place respectivly by WTA Tour on Monday.

32-year-old Serena Williams and Chinese Li Na have showed outstanding performance from beginning of the 2014 season, where the third position was secured by Poland star Agnieszka Radwanska and Victoria Azarenka the Belarus top ranker stood in the fourth position in WTA Rankings. Russian beauty Maria Sharapova has moved a place to No. 8 spot, as she overtaken two-time Grand Slam winner Jelena Jankovic, who has fall down a place to ninth spot in WTA Rankings.

Will Novak Djokovic reclaims No. 1 in 2014

Novak Djokovic is hoping to bounce back in 2014 season to top position in the ATP Rankings, where he had to come up with best tennis play of his career on upcoming clay court tournaments.  In men’s singles rankings Rafael Nadal holds No. 1 with 13730 points followed by his rival Novak Djokovic at second place with 11690 points.

Novak Djokovic has won two ATP Masters titles last month at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and Sony Open Tennis in Miami. In the upcoming Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, Serbian is looking positive to give difficult task to his rivals Rafael Nadal. Djokovic will defend the title at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. 

Six-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is having most of the chances to come back to World No. 1 in ATP Rankings, where he is still 2050 points away from Nadal. Serbian is considered as one of the hot favorite to clinch 2014 Monte Carlo Masters for second time and he might face tough opponents Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

Missing plane MH370: Tony Abbott is Confident about the Black Box Signals

On Friday Tony Abbott the Australian Prime Minister said that he is very certain that the latest signals they received are from black box on board missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370.

On an official visit to Shanghai the Australian Prime Minister spoke with the reports and stated that, according to Reuters “We have very much narrowed down the search area and we are very confident that the signals that we are detecting are from the black box on MH370,”

The plan has been missed on March 8^th and the Malaysian missing plane is carrying about 227 passengers and 12 crew members including 5 passengers are under age 5. It is boarding with 13 nationalities with 154 Chinese/Taiwanese, Malaysia (38), India (5), United States, Indonesia, Australia (3) and each from France, New Zealand, Ukraine, Canada, Russia, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands. It has been more than a month of searching for the Boeing 77.

Once they recover the black box which records and stores the complete flight data, then it would be so helpful in finding out what went wrong in board MH370. According to the investigations of the Malaysian officials they consider that on board transmitters had been manually disconnected and the plane had been diverted wide off course, before tracking far south to the Indian Ocean off the coast of Australia and falling into some of the world's most remote waters.

They are in a chase of recovering the black box which is beneath the ocean bed and it is around several thousand feet depth.  Experts stated that the black box batteries are equipped with underwater beacons and 30 days is there lasting period generally and their rescuers are already on borrowed time.

In the recent weeks more than 100 aircraft and vessels are searching in the Indian Ocean and the narrowing of the search area to a smaller 600 square kilometers has led to suggestions that a breakthrough may finally be at hand.

Greg Waldron, an aviation expert at Flight Global, said the latest “pings” detected were consistent with that from flight recorders. “The news seems to be very positive,” he told China's State broadcaster CCTV on Friday, speaking shortly after Mr. Abbott's comments. “This is probably the best lead we have had in the search for quite a while”.

BCCI asked Supreme Court to Examine the Audio Records of Dhoni

The BCCI has approached Supreme Court in order to take permission to examine the Indian captain MS Dhoni's, Board of Control for Cricket in India president N Srinivasan and Indian Premier League COO Sundar Raman audio recordings before the Mudgal Committee which has been examining the Indian Premier League betting and fixing scandal.

CS Sundaram the senior advocate who had appeared for the BCCI has mentioned the application. The counsel told the bench the BCCI needs the transcript to prepare themselves for the case pending before the Supreme Court. The matter was listed by the Supreme Court to be heard on Friday.

Harish Salve the senior advocate has been accusing the India’s and the Chennai Super Kings captain Dhoni of lying about the role of Srinivasan son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and the senior advocate is in behalf of Aditya Verma of the Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB).

Earlier Harish Salve gave a statement to the leading news channel that "Dhoni lied about Gurunath Meiyappan role; there was no need for Dhoni to lie and it is important to have independent probe into the IPL irregularities," after the  orders passed by the Supreme Court  for comprehensive changes in BCCI`s administration.

The Indian board, however, has been defended Dhoni saying that he has done nothing wrong and he is innocent, meanwhile Srinivasan consequently been asked by the Apex Court to step aside and former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar was made working president till the end of IPL season VII. Gavaskar is also reportedly evaluating the request of Verma, who wants IPL COO Raman removed from his post for alleged involvement in corrupt practices.

Microsoft Tends to End Up Windows XP Support and Its Time to Upgrade

Microsoft Corp on April 8^th have released Windows XP final security updates as the users have been warned by the security experts that they need to abandon the products in order  to prevent from the prime targets for cyber attacks.

In the previous update they said that after the dead line date of April 8 they no longer issue updates of security to address viruses and exploits to the operating system. They advised users to upgrade to a new Windows 8 computer.

In every month on second Tuesday Microsoft manually rolls out new security updates and it is known as “Patch Tuesday.” Again the Patch Tuesday falls on 13^th of May.

Security experts say they believe hackers will study that data and "reverse engineer" the May Patch Tuesday software updates to identify ways to attack computers running Windows XP, along with Office 2003, which will no longer receive patches from Microsoft.

"Attackers will use this as an accelerator. It's an easier way to get at machines," said Wolfgang Kandek, chief technology officer with cyber security firm Qualys Inc.

From the past decades new security features have been integrated into the software and Microsoft wants users to move to the latest modern version which makes it far more efficient in thwarting cyber attacks.

According to the security firms estimate updates that was released in October 2001 says that about 15 to 25 percent of the world's PCs still run on the version of the operating system and the world's largest software maker in 2007 has first warned that they are planning to end support for Windows XP.

The founder and the CEO of the StoreDot said that “During that research, specific amino acids were isolated and we managed to use those amino acids and peptides to create nanocrystals and these have special properties that enable us to use them in various devices, such as a battery."

Sri Lanka Beat India in T20 World Cup with Six wickets in Hand

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first where India set a target of 131 runs and Sri Lanka where in a chase of the small target and they won the 2014 T20 World Cup after defeating India by six wickets.

It was the last T20 game for the both the Sri Lankan players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene and both the players played a very key role in Sri Lanka's success, where Kumar Sangakkara was remained unbeaten with 52 runs (35 balls; 6x4, 1x6).

Virat Kohli has showed a tremendous performance where he has scored 77 runs in 58balls which includes 5 fours and 4 sixes. The major impact for the team was Yuvraj scoring 11 runs in 21balls where India totaling a mere 130 after being put in to bat on Sunday, where the target was chased by Sri Lanka in only 17.5 over’s with 6 wickets in hand.

Most of the questions were raised on Yuvraj's performance and the Indian cool captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that "It was an off day for Yuvraj. He tried his best but it's not easy to come in and start slogging from ball one."

When asked about the Yuvraj's future in the team when compared with the other players who have more or less performed their duties or at least have age on their side.  Dhoni explained saying that “Now the Indian cricket season is over, and now we have all domestic tournaments including the Indian Premier League. The next selection is far away so let's not talk about it."

When a question is raised regarding sending Yuvraj ahead of Suresh Raina at No. 4. Dhoni said that "Most of our batsmen take time to hit the big shots and it is only Raina, who can start hitting big from the onset. That was the reason that we sent Yuvraj up the order at No. 4."

In the last 4 over’s Kohli had faced only 8 balls and the last overs are the crucial overs for bating and bowling where Indian has failed in doing so. Dhoni said that they wanted to score more runs in the last four overs but the Sri Lankan bowlers bowled well in the last over.

Sri Lanka Won the Match against West Indies and Moved into World Twenty20 Final

Sri Lanka won the match against West Indies by 27 runs and reached into the World Twenty20 final via Duckworth Lewis method when a thunderstorm stopped the play.

Sri Lanka set a target of about 161runs in the semi final match and West Indies were around 80/4 in 13.5 overs and they needed 108 runs to win and due to the thunderstorm the match has been halted, wet outfield prevented any further action in the semi final.

In 2012 near Colombo Sri Lanka lost the final match against West Indies and the Twenty20 tournament 2014 was a sweet revenge for Sri Lanka. In the final Sri Lanka will be fighting against the winner of the second semi final team between India and South Africa.

The second semi final match against India and South Africa is going to take place on Friday in Dhaka ( Today at 6:30 PM). The winner of the semi final team will be playing the final match against Sri Lanka on Sunday in Dhaka.

The match against Sri Lanka and West Indies took place in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, mean while Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 160/6 where Lahiru Thirimanne (44), Angelo Mathews (40) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (39) contributed their best to set the high scoring.

Microsoft Proclaim to Bring Back the Start Menu in Windows

Microsoft has removed the Start menu in Windows 8 and according to latest updates they have announced that they will be adding the feature again for the user convenience.

Microsoft has also announced that they will be adding new features to Windows 8.1 like on screen shutdown button and ability to pin Modern UI apps to taskbar to the OS. This new features help in using Windows 8.1 more easier on computers that have keyboard and mouse.

The Start menu is looks as similar as that of the Windows 7 and they showed a demo, when the Start button is clicked user gets the access to the apps installed on the computer and it is also helpful in allowed quick access to Modern UI (user interface) apps.  Microsoft has also said that they are working on this Start menu but Windows 8.1 update may not have the Start menu feature which will be available on April 8.

For friendlier user interface Microsoft has been working on “windowed" mode for Modern UI apps. This app runs in "snapped" mode or in full screen mode.  Microsoft when came up with Windows 8 they said that keeping tablets in mind they have specially designed OS.  But majority of the personal computer users have faced problems with Windows 8, where as it has given a good impact for users who are looking to buy a Windows tablet.

Microsoft has stated that in Windows 8.1 they have fixed some of the issues, they made OS suitable for consumers who still use a mouse and keyboard. Among the latest updates the most important features is the option to pin apps with Modern UI into the desktop task bar.

According to Windows 8.1 Update here are some of the prominent features.

Users with either a desktop computer or a laptop can directly boot into the desktop mode and no need to waste time with Modern UI start screen. You do find Search and shutdown buttons always on the top right corner of the screen.

In an app that uses Modern UI, there is no need of wasting time in holding the mouse and drag the window downwards where you find close and minimize buttons on the top of the screen.

You can directly open a context menu in Modern UI mode when you Right click on a tile of an application.

Windows Store will be pinned to the task bar by default.

Virat Kohli 14th Indian Cricketer to Complete 100 Catches in International Cricket

Virat Kohli India’s best dependable batsmen and the youngest cricketer who plays the game very aggressively.  He holds the record as the fastest century Indian batsman in One Day International (ODI) and in this international cricket career he has also completed 100 catches.

Latest BBM Updates for Android, iOS and its native BlackBerry 10 OS

The latest version of BBM for Android, iOS and its native BlackBerry 10 OS have been launched by the Canadian Smartphone makers Blackberry.

In the latest version there are many improved set of features by keeping in the mind to expanding its customer base and the main aim of the company is to cater to a wide range of users and mainly for the customers with Android and iOS Smartphone users.  Meanwhile, within the app they have also added a new BBM Shop which helps to boost the monetisation options for the app. The new app will be seen as soon as possible in Windows Phone 8 and Nokia X platform, they are also in a plan to bring BBM to desktops.

The latest version helps the users to send and receive up to 16MB of files of images, videos and sound. Where as in the previous versions you had about 6MB of maximum file limit to send and where as Blackberry user had a maximum file size of 16MB to be sent and about 10MB for the Android and iOS users.

The most interesting new features is that in a multi person chat all the users with all three platforms can share images with each other while you’re chatting with a group of people. In the earlier version you need to make a group featuring them and then can share images with multiple contacts. In the latest version you can send file directly from your Dropbox account, sharing one’s location and sending voice notes.

Within the app the company also added a new element and has launched stickers in the brand new BBM Shop. You can now share your emotions and mood with your friends by images that are either animated or more detailed. If you have been using Facebook or WeChat Stickers you would be pretty familiar with the Stickers and they can be bought from the BBM Shop for Rs 120 for a pack of 20 to 25 stickers.
